The Letter X

First we made these cute Letter X paintings. I have done this a few different times for different preschool classes, and the kids always love them. We found the idea at Preschool Express. Start with a white paper, make an X out of painters tape, and let the kids watercolor the paper. Then after it dries, remove the tape.

It was difficult to find letter X snacks, so we had muffins (from the Muffin Man, since it was Nursery Rhyme Week also) and made Xs out of our carrot sticks.

We had a fun little X marks the spot game. The kids had to look around the room and find our hiding X's, like pirates.

And we had some fun X movements too. (pictured below is Mr. A. jumping over the candlestick like Jack Be Nimble, but we did do X movements too, I just didn't get photos.) We pretended to be jack-in-the-boxes, and also did jumping jacks, since your body makes an X shape in the middle.
